The Little Empire Podcast Studio is a new purpose-built video podcast studio and production house that has recorded hundreds of hours of video and audio content, enjoyed by tens of thousands of listeners and viewers globally. The studio, built in late 2024, is the physical home of Little Empire Podcasts - a legendary independent podcast network founded in 2016 by multi award-winning podcast host/producer, Tim Batt.

The studio regularly records shows for comedians including Chris Parker, Eli Matthewson and Guy Montgomery, and handles remote recording and editing facilities for many other podcasters including sports broadcasters Alice Soper and Women’s Rugby World Cup winning athlete, Les Elder. The studio recorded and edited RNZ’s Did Titanic Sink (Best Comedy Gold Medal winner, NZ Podcasts Awards 2023). The Little Empire Podcast Network has been home to several smash hit podcasts including The Worst Idea of All Time with Guy Montgomery and Tim Batt (over 20 million downloads), Boners of the Heart hosted by Rose Matafeo and Alice Snedden, The Male Gayz hosted by Chris Parker and Eli Matthewson and many more.

Tim is passionate about podcasting as a medium and has worked for years to bring more and more people's shows to the world.

Tim has been recognised with multiple podcast awards at both the NZ Podcast Awards and the NZ Comedy Guild Awards including three gold medals for Best Comedy in subsequent years, for three completely different podcasts. In addition to hosting and producing a raft of independent shows over the years, he has also hosted and produced shows for RNZ, The Spinoff, Audible, Rova (Mediaworks), iHeart (NZME) and more.
